The Commentary states: Because both the ākāras and the objects are distinct, they cannot arise simultaneously. Since this state of affairs does not occur, wholesome minds and the like can indeed [have varied factors], but they are not grasps and cannot serve as a parallel. In the case of the two grasps of person and phenomena, because the object is one, or because the objects are many but the ākāra is one, they can also occur together. In the present case, the two ākāras and the two objects cannot be admitted together. Among the four explanations, the fourth is the best.
