The Commentary states: If body and mind are at ease, calm relaxation is their activity; if body and mind are not at ease, hurried haste is their activity. Both pervade volition and wisdom; or volition is called ease because it is relaxed and subtle, having the nature of deliberating; wisdom is called unease because it is hasty and coarse, having the nature of discerning. The presence of ease and unease in body and mind before and after depends entirely upon investigation and evaluation, hence they are called their support.
