The Commentary states: The Saṃdhinirmocana-sūtra states: "There is not the slightest dharma, not the slightest real dharma, that is able to apprehend another dharma." "Another" refers to a real dharma external to the mind. It is not that one's own real mind can apprehend another's real mind; rather, when consciousness arises, the mind appears resembling the mark of that other mind, and this is called apprehending another's mind.
