The Commentary states: The third statement: both of the previous two masters are incorrect; this refutes the first master above. For example, one's own body and another's body, one's own land and another's land can be mutually utilized; hence it must rely on what others transform. As stated earlier in the second fascicle: if it did not transform others, there would be no mutual utilization of corpses and so forth after death; that is, taking what others transform as the archetype for one's own eighth consciousness. Due to the aforementioned reasoning, based on the text of the Madhyāntavibhāga, transforming others is definitive.
