The Commentary states: This reconciles the contradiction. Regarding 'name, ideation, and views': it is stated in the Abhidharma-samuccaya: 'Due to conforming to names, etc.' That is the text of its commentary. This cause takes the three dharmas of name, ideation, and views as its self-nature. That is, the two dharmas of ideation and views grasp objective marks and give rise to attachment in accordance with expressive names: ideation can grasp marks, and attachment arises from views. Arising in accordance with names, having grasped marks and formed attachments, speech subsequently arises; thus, taking the three dharmas as the cause, the generated speech is its fruit.
