The Commentary states: That is, when the aforementioned seeds have been moistened by the power of good friends and the like, they are called the moistened basis, because they can give rise to close results, as when a pure cause serves as a causal condition for close bodhi. Here, it only differs from the former in being moistened versus unmoistened, having no separate substance; the nature of the result and so forth are entirely identical to the former, and the Great Śāstra and others are also identical.
