The Commentary states: Taking the previous six causes as its nature, it does not include conventional expression, because that is distant. Conventional expression and phenomena do not combine with each other because their power is distant; hence it is not taken as its nature. Since the cause is identical to the previous ones, its results are also like that. With respect to results of production and so forth, it is conceived in terms of a single undertaking. The cause applies to both the tainted and the untainted, uniformly based on what was said before.
