The Commentary states: This objection is incorrect! It excludes the traction and generative causes, because these two causes are solely seeds. As in the preceding six causes, within the four causes such as bringing-forth, actual activity that can produce seeds acts as a direct cause; because it is mostly interrupted and unlike the nature of seeds that is constantly continuous, the *Bodhisattvabhūmi* omits it and does not mention it. This is speaking from a single perspective without exhausting the reasoning. Another explanation is given.
