立四分量云：心、心所法一剎那中定能自顯；能顯他故；如燈日等。此因有法差別相違，喻有所立不成，以燈無緣慮，心有緣慮故。

The inference establishing the four divisions states: Mental states and mental factors must definitely be capable of revealing themselves within a single moment; because they can reveal other things; like a lamp, the sun, and so forth. This reason has the fallacy of contradiction with the qualification of the subject (dharmaviśeṣa-viparīta-sādhana), and the example has the defect of lacking the probandum (sādhya-vikala), because a lamp lacks cognition whereas mind possesses cognition.
