應詰彼言：「諸有情類種種界性、無量界性、下劣界性、勝妙界性為有為無？若言有者，無有畢竟無涅槃法者，不應道理」。此亦違理。則《唯識》云：「有性法爾，無此不然」。若言無者，經言：「諸有情類有種種界性，乃至勝妙界性，不應道理。此亦違經。無性即是下劣界攝」。

One should cross-examine them, saying: 'Do the various classes of sentient beings have diverse realms, immeasurable realms, inferior realms, and superior realms, or do they not? If you say they exist, then claiming that there is no dharma absolutely devoid of nirvāṇa is unreasonable.' This also contradicts reason. As the Cheng weishi lun says: 'The nature is innate; without this, it cannot be so.' 'If you say they do not exist, the sūtra says: "The classes of sentient beings have diverse realms... up to superior realms," which would be unreasonable. This also contradicts the sūtras. Those devoid of gotra are subsumed under the inferior realm.'
