《法華》第二舍利弗云：「而今從佛聞所未聞未曾有法，斷諸疑悔。」彼偈又云：「我已得漏盡，聞亦除憂惱。」「疑悔」即惡作，厭也。惠俱無貪。「疑」即事疑，疑不作佛；「憂」即是悔，悔先惡故；「悔」即是疑。

In chapter 2 of the Lotus Sūtra, Śāriputra says: "And now, hearing from the Buddha this unprecedented Dharma never heard before, I have severed all doubts and regrets." His verse also says: "I have already attained the exhaustion of outflows; hearing it also removes sorrow and affliction." "Doubts and regrets" is remorse, which is revulsion. Accompanied by discernment, it is non-attachment. "Doubt" is doubt regarding facts, doubting whether one can become a Buddha; "sorrow" is regret, regretting past evils; "regret" is doubt.
