上座部勘有中有、無，何得說言中有必起潤生煩惱耶？本計無中有，末計有故。已下文理，《唯識》中看。

The Sthavira school was examined regarding whether an intermediate existence exists or not; how could one say that the intermediate existence must generate the afflictions that moisten rebirth? Because the fundamental tenets held that there is no intermediate existence, while the later branch tenets held that there is. See the reasoning below in the Cheng weishi lun.
