和上所立唯識比量云。真故極成色。不離於眼識。自許初三攝眼所不攝故。猶如眼識。順憬師決定相違云。真故極成色。定離於眼識。自許初三攝眼識不攝故。猶如眼根。此如憬師抄解。裕師邊取。

The inference of consciousness-only formulated by the Upādhyāya states: 'In the ultimate sense, universally recognised form is not separated from the visual consciousness; because of being subsumed under the first three in our own thesis and not subsumed under the visual faculty; just like the visual consciousness.' Master Shunjing's counter-inference of definitive opposition states: 'In the ultimate sense, universally recognised form is definitively separated from the visual consciousness; because of being subsumed under the first three in our own thesis and not subsumed under the visual consciousness; just like the visual faculty.' This should be understood according to Master Jing's commentary notes, obtained from Master Yu.
