新羅曉法師決定相違云：真故極成色定離，於眼識自許初三攝眼識不攝故，猶如眼根，智者留意，應更救立。上來雖復理破，違教如何？

Master Wonhyo of Silla formulated a counter-inference (viruddhāvyabhicārin): 'In the ultimate sense, definitively established form is definitely separate from visual consciousness, because while being self-accepted as subsumed within the initial three [dhātus], it is not subsumed by visual consciousness, just like the visual faculty.' The wise should pay heed to this and ought to further rescue and establish it. Although the above refutes through reason, how is it regarding contradiction of scripture?
