Fascicle 89 states: 'That for the sake of which one grasps, what can grasp, and what is grasped, is called the grasping limb.' For those in the desire realm born into the bad destinies through extremely heavy [karma], having seen the signs of evil, they do not give rise to yearning. For those whose karma in the desire realm is light and induces [birth there], and those in the upper two realms who die and are born into the bad destinies, they do not see signs of evil, but see signs of going to their own kind, and thereupon give rise to yearning and craving for the future birth. Conditioned arising does not rely on the former meaning, and hence it is said that they do not yearn, subsuming the meaning of all limbs of craving and views. If it were not so, then when beings of the upper realms are not born into the bad destinies, they should lack craving and grasping, because they would crave neither the present nor the future.
