問：第七緣彼現，能、所一界攝；八緣三界種，應隨三界繫。七、八互相增，能、所一界繫；八境不平增，見、境各別繫。又八為彼業招，不隨境界繫；七非業所感，隨境一地繫。

Question: The seventh takes the active state of that as object, so that which cognizes and that which is cognized are subsumed under one realm; the eighth takes the seeds of the three realms as object, so it should follow the bondage of the three realms. The seventh and eighth mutually intensify each other, so that which cognizes and that which is cognized are bound to one realm; the objects of the eighth do not intensify equally, so the darśana and the objects are bound separately. Furthermore, the eighth is invoked by that karma and does not follow the bondage of its objects; the seventh is not karmically retributional, so it is bound to one level along with its object.
