Regarding the 'mind that accumulates and generates' in the first proof, it is also explained that because it is the cause from which accumulated seeds and bases generate dharmas, it is named 'mind' (citta). In refuting matter, the non-associated [dharmas], and mental factors, there should also be the mind that is accumulated and generated by seeds that are neither defiled nor pure. It is omitted for brevity.
