又難云：若爾，大種事應成多，造色各別依一四大種故。答：云應知此中依體類說，諸四大種，類無別故，作用薩婆多者，《婆沙》中。

Further, an objection is raised: If so, the entities of the great elements should be multiple, because each separate created form relies on one [set of] four great elements. The reply states: It should be understood that here it is explained according to the genus of the substances, because the various four great elements have no difference in genus. Regarding the Sarvāstivādins' [theory of] activity (kāritra), in the Mahāvibhāṣā:
