答：准彼本計，亦應許有。但相微細，不說二俱，今護法責，出何經論？第八得與癡、惠二俱，若許得俱，恒行不共，應亦在第八。

Answer: According to his original position, he should also accept that it exists. It is just that its characteristics are subtle, so he does not say that it is associated with both. Now Dharmapāla rebukes him: In which sūtra or treatise is it stated that the eighth consciousness can be associated with both delusion and wisdom? If he accepts that they can be associated, the constantly operating non-associated [ignorance] should also exist in the eighth.
