[Regarding] "The truth of the path having three": the Yaoji says: "All three are nature-nominal and truth-real; knowing that the imagined does not exist, severing defiled paratantra, and realizing the principle of tathatā—because pure paratantra is neither what is severed nor what is realized." Now I say this is not so, because the path of the three realizations is able to realize the pariniṣpanna. In terms of permanent and impermanent, it is not subsumed under pariniṣpanna; in terms of contaminated and uncontaminated, it is also subsumed under pariniṣpanna. Tathatā is the pariniṣpanna that is realized; the four jñānas are the pariniṣpanna that can realize; therefore, both nature and truth are real.
