6.60

然《要集》云：無性《攝論》第八云：由加行證得者，謂能感異熟果義，非異熟因，能對治彼故，即增上果假名異熟。由此故知，內法異生不造總業者不然，彼《攝論》文約見道前後修無分別智，不言餘所修善皆即增上假名異熟。故不為證。

However, the Yaoji states: 'Fascicle eight of Asvabhāva's commentary on the Mahāyānasaṃgraha says: "That attained through preparatory practice (prayoga) refers to the meaning of being capable of producing the vipāka fruit, not being a vipāka cause; because it is capable of acting as an antidote to that, it is an adhipati fruit metaphorically designated as vipāka." From this it is known that it is incorrect [to claim] that internal pṛthagjanas do not create total karma.' However, that passage in the Mahāyānasaṃgraha commentary concerns the cultivation of non-conceptual wisdom before and after the darśanamārga; it does not say that all other cultivated wholesome qualities are adhipati [fruits] metaphorically designated as vipāka. Therefore it cannot serve as proof.
