答：相入真修難，故起勝進道。或已曾得入修，不更起勝進道。雖有二解，起將為勝。非相見後即入修道真斷惑道，中間起散，別時方入修真斷道，故有勝進。

Answer: Entering the true path of cultivation from marks is difficult, so one generates an advanced path. Alternatively, having already attained it, in entering the path of cultivation one does not again generate an advanced path. Although there are two explanations, generating it should be taken as superior. It is not that immediately after the path of seeing with marks one enters the true path of cultivation that severs afflictions; in the interim, scattered [thoughts] arise, and at another time one enters the true path of cultivation that severs [afflictions]; therefore there is an advanced path.
