就斷二障各分二品，亦有四釋，義同於前。就斷二障各一品中，有其三說：一云三心；一云二心；一云一心。義說為二：無間、解脫。能斷障故，名無間道；證無為故，名解脫道。此論雖多剎那者，是餘師義。上漸斷十四、頓斷十一，總二十五釋。又傳二十六釋，漸有十六，頓斷有十。

Regarding severing the two hindrances each divided into two grades, there are also four interpretations, the meaning being the same as before. Regarding severing the two hindrances each in a single grade, there are three theories: one says three mind-[moments]; one says two mind-[moments]; one says one mind-[moment]. Semantically it is spoken of as two: uninterrupted and liberation. Because it is capable of severing hindrances, it is called the uninterrupted path; because it realizes the unconditioned, it is called the path of liberation. Although this treatise speaks of multiple moments, that is the doctrine of another master. The above fourteen for gradual severance and eleven for sudden severance make twenty-five interpretations in all. Furthermore, it is transmitted that there are twenty-six interpretations: sixteen for gradual, and ten for sudden severance.
