Answer: It is not that the parikalpita-svabhāva arises from separately contemplating the three own-natures; rather, parikalpita-svabhāva is superimposition across both natures collectively, and it is said that the parikalpita nature is unborn, unceasing, and so forth. That is to say, it covers the parikalpa on both the dependent and the fully perfected, and it does not intend to state that those two, the dependent and the fully perfected, are non-existent. One cannot say that the nature of the naturelessness of birth is unborn, unceasing, and so forth, because it has arising and ceasing. The substance of the fully perfected is eternal, so it is unborn and unceasing; its nature is not defiled, so it is originally quiescent. This is fully explained in the second fascicle of the Saṃdhinirmocana and the seventy-sixth fascicle of the Yogācārabhūmi.
