問：計我則蘊；我既是常，蘊亦應爾。不爾，如何言「我即蘊」？故知蘊常，今以為喻，喻闕所立。

Question: Positing the self means the aggregates; since the self is permanent, the aggregates should also be so. Otherwise, how could one say 'the self is identical to the aggregates'? Therefore we know the aggregates are permanent; now using them as an example, the example lacks the probandum (*sādhya-vikala*).
