問：若言俱生修道斷者，與《楞伽經》豈不相違？按四卷經第二說云：「大惠！身見有二種：謂俱生及妄想，須陀洹人二種身見斷故，疑法不生。」十卷第四文意大同。

Question: If one says that the innate is abandoned in the path of cultivation, does this not contradict the Laṅkāvatāra-sūtra? The second fascicle of the four-fascicle sūtra says: "Mahāmati, there are two kinds of view of personal identity: innate and conceptualized. Because a srotāpanna has abandoned both kinds of view of personal identity, doubts concerning phenomena do not arise." The meaning of the text in the fourth fascicle of the ten-fascicle version is largely the same.
