有義：有說緣言簡相符過，此即非理。應問彼言：有法之中簡覺等不？若其以簡何故相符？若不簡者，設置緣言豈能遮簡？由此即應為簡相符，於有法中先除覺等。

One opinion states: Some say that the word "cognizing" (pratyakṣa-ālambana) excludes the fault of establishing what is already accepted; this is incorrect. One should ask them: Within the subject, are intellect and the like excluded or not? If they have already been excluded, why would there be establishing what is already accepted? If they are not excluded, how could merely inserting the word "cognizing" exclude them? Because of this, in order to exclude establishing what is already accepted, one should first remove intellect and the like from the subject.
