疏主出彼無想事體，《疏》有兩釋。復有說云，彼本有初別報異熟轉識暫起宿因緣力，後不復生，故依第八生得無記心、心所滅，此不行位假立無想，彼無生得心、心所時，依彼現八而假建立無想異熟，無想異熟既果非因，故不可說依種子立。有義：斷此以為正說。

The author of the Commentary presents that concrete entity of non-conception, and the Commentary has two explanations. There is another explanation that says: in that primary existence, initially the specific maturation evolving consciousnesses arise temporarily through the power of past causal conditions and later do not arise again; therefore, based on the cessation of the innately acquired neutral mind and mental factors of the eighth [consciousness], in this state where they do not function, non-conception is designated metaphorically. When that [plane] lacks the innately acquired mind and mental factors, based on that active eighth [consciousness], non-conception maturation is designated metaphorically. Since non-conception maturation is a fruit and not a cause, it cannot be said to be established based on seeds. Another opinion judges this to be the correct explanation.
