問：外救意云，說猛赤人而似於火，此人、人類與赤等德不相離故，不說一切人類猛等皆不相離，皆似於火。何故諸德並以貧富、先後事等，以辨相離而為難耶？

Question: The opponent's rescuing intention is: When one speaks of a fierce and red person as resembling fire, it is because this person and the human category are inseparable from qualities such as redness; they do not say that all members of the human category and fierceness, etc., are inseparable and all resemble fire. Why do the various masters all use poverty and wealth, earlier and later states, and the like to discriminate separation and formulate the objection?
