答：樹等既是共相種生，皆相隨順，互有增益。彼一有情自所變者，所緣親用；他所變者，與自所變為增上緣，亦疎緣用。一切相望，自為所順，他為能順，由所順無，能順亦滅，由斯樹喪，唯識亦成。

Answer: Since trees and the like are born from shared-characteristic seeds, they all accord with one another and mutually augment each other. That which is transformed by that single sentient being is the ālambana directly used; that which is transformed by others serves as an adhipati-pratyaya for his own transformation, and is also used as an indirect condition. Looking at all in relation to one another: one's own is that which is conformed to, while others' are that which conforms; because that which is conformed to ceases, that which conforms also perishes. Because of this, the tree is lost, and vijñapti-mātra is also established.
