答：應詰彼云：且汝無為，為有功能，為無功能？若有功能，應非無為，有功能故，如所隔法；若無功能，如何能隔？若爾，大乘無為亦爾，一切賢聖皆以無為而有差別，二過亦同。

Answer: One should cross-examine them: Now does your unconditioned possess functional efficacy, or does it lack functional efficacy? If it possesses functional efficacy, it should not be unconditioned, because it possesses functional efficacy, like the dharmas it delimits; if it lacks functional efficacy, how can it delimit? [Opponent:] If so, the Mahāyāna unconditioned is also like this: 'All wise and noble ones are differentiated by the unconditioned'; the two faults are equally present.
