Explanation: 'Anu-dhātu' is an alternative name for seed; differentiated between the old and new masters, it is called the 'old anu-dhātu'. 2. The six consciousnesses mutually perfume each other in succession. 3. The prior moment perfumes the subsequent moment. 4. The class receives perfuming. Thus Asabhāva's commentary, fascicle 2, says: 'There are just so many divergent tenets on perfuming: some say the six consciousnesses mutually perfume each other; some say the prior moment perfumes the subsequent moment; some say it perfumes the momentary class of consciousness.'
