此難意云：論云眼界通種、現，執言唯種不取現。亦言眼識有眼、種，亦應同根唯取種。即《對法》云：問：眼識界何相？

The meaning of this challenge is: The treatises say the eye-dhātu encompasses both seed and active manifestation, but you cling to the claim that it is seeds only and do not accept the active manifestation. They also say that the eye-consciousness has the eye and seed; thus it should, like the faculty, take only seeds. That is, the Abhidharmasamuccaya-bhāṣya says: Question: What is the characteristic of the eye-consciousness-dhātu?
