答：謂依眼緣色，似色了別，及此種子積集異熟阿賴耶識是眼識界相，耳、鼻、舌、身、意識界相亦爾。

Answer: 'Relying on the eye and taking visible form as condition, discerning that which resembles form, together with its seed accumulated in the maturation ālaya-vijñāna—this is the characteristic of the eye-consciousness-dhātu. The characteristics of the ear-, nose-, tongue-, body-, and mental-consciousness-dhātus are also like this.'
