答：六依於七，七依親故，親依轉六亦轉。八依於七，七非親故，七無漏八不轉。有執、無執行有相似、不相似，故名親、不親。

The eighth relies on the seventh, and the seventh is not a direct basis; hence when the seventh is untainted, the eighth does not transform. Being with grasping and being without grasping have similarities and dissimilarities in activity, hence they are called direct and non-direct.
