答：第二云：若由八轉七方轉，可難七轉八亦轉。第八轉位七先轉故，七轉時八不轉。由親疎別，准前應知。又釋：六、七二執違非執故，七轉位六亦轉。第八無執不全違，所以不隨所依轉，思之。

The second answer states: If the seventh transformed only because the eighth transformed, one could object that when the seventh transforms, the eighth would also transform. But at the state where the eighth transforms, the seventh has already transformed first; hence when the seventh transforms, the eighth does not transform. By the distinction between direct and distant, this should be understood in accordance with the preceding. Another explanation: because the two graspings of the sixth and seventh conflict with non-grasping, at the stage where the seventh transforms, the sixth also transforms. The eighth has no grasping and does not entirely conflict; therefore it does not transform along with its basis. Reflect on this.
