4.407

經：一切眾生敬受所說平等法性，論：若有如是種類語業，能令有情善根成就，聞生歡喜，得淨信樂，如來便現如是語業令彼得聞，如來所出一切語言稱機宜故。諸人、天等皆無違逆，故名敬受。雖有眾生不順佛語此是化作，或當有益後必信受，就總為語故，言一切敬受所說。如是語言，由前道理，諸佛同現，故名平等。如是平等，即名法性。

Sūtra: The sameness of the nature of phenomena regarding the reverent acceptance of what is spoken by all sentient beings. Treatise: If there is such a kind of vocal action that can cause sentient beings to bring wholesome roots to completion, to rejoice upon hearing it, and to attain pure faith and joy, the Tathāgata immediately manifests such vocal action to cause them to hear it. Because all the words uttered by the Tathāgata accord with their capacities, humans, devas, and others never go against them; hence it is called "reverent acceptance." Although there are sentient beings who do not comply with the Buddha's words, this is a magical creation, or it will be beneficial in that they will definitely believe and accept it later; speaking in general terms, it says "all reverently accept what is spoken." Such speech, through the aforementioned principle, is manifested identically by all Buddhas, and is therefore called "sameness." Such sameness is precisely called the "nature of phenomena."
