問：若據有為，定境不一，依相續說八非間斷，如何說七剎那別緣？七繫於八，由八而有，似一常故。

Question: If based on conditioned phenomena, the object of concentration is not single; and based on the continuum, the eighth is uninterrupted, how can it be said that the seventh separately apprehends momentary [instants]? The seventh is bound to the eighth and exists because of the eighth, appearing as a single permanent entity.
