Question: Now for a blind person, the object exists but the faculty is absent, and the consciousness does not arise, which proves that the consciousness relies on the eye. If so, for someone who has eyes, when the consciousness does not arise because the object is absent, the consciousness should rely on the object. Furthermore, if the consciousness simply arose whenever the faculty exists, the form realm ought to have the two consciousnesses of nose and tongue.
