論：此中顯示現業果化，成所作智現以化身領受化業。由此業故，示受一切本事、本生難修諸行。先世相應所有餘事，名為本事；先世所受生類差別，名為本生，如毘濕飯怛囉等。依此本生先所修行種種苦行，名難修行。

Treatise: Here is revealed the transformation of manifesting the fruition of karma. The mirror-like wisdom of action manifests transformation bodies to experience transformation karma. Through this karma, he manifests experiencing all the difficult practices of previous events and previous births. Other events associated with previous lives are called 'previous events' (avadāna); the differences in kinds of birth experienced in previous lives are called 'previous births' (jātaka), such as Viśvantara and so on. The various austerities previously practiced based on these previous births are called 'difficult practices'.
