5.142

有義：論下釋念令心明記，彼宗亦云能明記者，約心等故，所明記者即諸法故。若由此故心等明記，此應復待餘，便有無窮失，樂論宗者，應善思擇。

There is an opinion: Below, the treatise explains mindfulness as making the mind clearly retain; their school also says that what clearly retains is based on the mind and so forth, and what is clearly retained is all phenomena. If, because of this, the mind and so forth clearly retain, this would again have to depend on something else, resulting in the fault of infinite regress. Those who delight in the treatises of this school should deliberate carefully.
