詳曰：彼勝發起本是作意根之業用故，然復待餘勝解有喻故無窮失，我宗明記非心本業，故雖待餘念無其類，無無窮失。

Detailed analysis: That superior activation is originally the activity of the faculty of attention; however, depending again on another, resolved determination, there is an analogy, hence there is no infinite regress. In our school, clear retention is not the original activity of mind; therefore, though it depends on another, mindfulness, there is no such class [of infinite regress], and there is no fault of infinite regress.
