答：准疏所明，破末計中立三、四等心所之師。惠等依思，非即心故，喻無其過。有義：但破本計，然喻無過，前來成立惠等別有，故得為喻。又，解彼宗以經為量，說定即心，餘別有體。

Answer: Following what is explained in the Commentary, it refutes the teachers among the branch traditions who establish three, four, or more caitasikas. Because wisdom and the like depend on cetanā and are not identical with citta, the example is without fault. Another opinion holds: It only refutes the root tradition, yet the example is without fault, because earlier he established wisdom and the like as existing separately; thus it may serve as an example. Furthermore, they interpret that school as taking scripture as the authority, stating that samādhi is identical with citta, while the others have separate essences.
