釋曰：四倒等惑相應無明，名為染污；所知障者，名不染污，對二乘說，更有餘釋。如《瑜伽》、《鈔》。

Explanation: The ignorance conjoined with afflictions such as the four inversions is called 'defiled'; that of the cognitive obscuration is called 'undefiled'. Stated with respect to the two vehicles, there are further other explanations, as in the notes on the Yogācārabhūmi.
