疏主質也，無學亦有色等五根，五根亦應通不斷攝，此既不爾，彼何乃然？
The author of the Commentary questions [this]: In an arhat (aśaikṣa) there are also the five physical sense faculties, matter and the rest; these five faculties should likewise be subsumed under non-severance. Since this is not so, why should that [vital faculty] be so?
