答：文雖不言理必可故。故經頌云：何故淨覺人念智功德具，說諸上妙地有力不解釋，既云淨覺說上妙地今何不釋，明知淨覺即是說因，不爾，如何敘有淨覺責不釋耶？

Answer: Although the text does not say so, the principle must be so. Thus the sūtra verse says: 'Why does the person of pure awareness, endowed with the virtues of mindfulness and wisdom, / having the power to explain the supreme stages, not expound them?' Since it says that the one of pure awareness, [though able to] explain the supreme stages, does not now expound them, we clearly know that pure awareness is precisely the cause of speech; otherwise, how could it recount having pure awareness and reproach him for not expounding?
