詳曰：但愛得起即能潤生，所緣之境何局當處？如水溉田不簡此彼。又愛緣受，受通現受，境何不許現境為緣？故《疏》所明無有過也。

Detailed commentary: As long as craving is able to arise, it can moisten birth; why should the cognitive object be restricted to the place [of future rebirth]? It is like water irrigating a field without discriminating between this or that. Furthermore, craving takes feeling as its condition, and feeling extends to present feelings; why not allow a present object to serve as the condition? Therefore, what is clarified in the Commentary has no fault.
