6.74

問：准大般若超等至者欲界等心，而能入出滅盡定等，《瑜伽》十二，八地已去及於如來方能超定，八地已去意純無漏，云何得起欲界心耶？

Question: According to the Mahāprajñāpāramitā-sūtra, those who transcend attainments do so with a mind of the desire realm and so forth, and are able to enter and emerge from the concentration of cessation and so forth; in the Yogācārabhūmi, fascicle twelve, only from the eighth ground onward and the Tathāgatas are they able to transcend concentrations. From the eighth ground onward, the manas is purely undefiled; how could it give rise to a desire-realm mind?
