此同無著《攝論》所說。無性釋云：「『當知意識是能遍計，有分別故』者，由有顯示隨念分別所雜糅故。」
This is identical to what is stated in Asaṅga's Mahāyānasaṃgraha. Asabhāva explains: "'One should know that the mental consciousness is capable of pervasive conceptualization because it has discrimination' means: because it is commingled with discrimination that manifests and discrimination of memory."
