釋曰：「雜糅」即是相應俱起義也。意識由與二分別俱，故能分別。「顯示」即是計度異名，亦名思擇。《論》：「『用自名言熏習為種子』者，無始生死所有意識戲論名言熏習種子，為此生因。」

Exposition: 'Commingled' means the sense of associated and co-arising. Because the mental consciousness is concurrent with the two discriminations, it is capable of discrimination. 'Manifestation' is an alternative name for estimation; it is also called deliberative selection. The Treatise states: "'Using the perfuming of its own nominal designations as seeds' means: the seeds perfumed by the nominal designations of proliferation belonging to the mental consciousness throughout beginningless saṃsāra serve as the cause of this arising."
